Hello you!

Are you an expat? Are you a parent? Are your children multilingual? Then this message is for you!

At Edufax, our forward-thinking experts of the Innovation Center create innovative educational solutions for children moving across borders. Pioneers at heart, we work from one basic principle: the child’s interests are paramount.

The Innovation Center is currently working on a new and very exciting initiative; Learning Beyond Boundaries which focuses on:
1) multilingualism,
2) motivation to maintain one’s mother tongue,
3) motivation to learn more languages,
4) experiences with online learning,
5) a sense of belonging.

The aim of the initiative is to develop an educational solution suitable for multilingual internationally mobile children across the world. However, in order to do this, we first need to better understand the needs of your children. Therefore, we put together two surveys addressing the above mentioned themes. We kindly ask you to read the consent and privacy statements before you and your children complete the survey.

This is the link to the survey for parents to complete (max. 10 minutes).
(!) If you have a child or children younger than 8 years old, then you only need to complete the parent survey.

This is the link to the survey for children and teenagers (between the ages of 8 and 18) to complete (max. 10 minutes).
(!) We expect children of age 8 and above to be able to complete the survey independently.

However, because the survey is English, if your child has any questions, we kindly ask for you (as parent) to guide them through the survey.

As a thank you for your participation, we would like to reward a random number of respondents with a prize. In the children’s survey you can leave your name and e-mail address.

Lastly, we would like to draw your attention to the following:

Optional participation in interviews
Once we receive all survey responses, we would like to select a focus group to carry out interviews with. If you would be interested in participating in the interviews (as a family), we kindly ask for you to share your contact details in the parent survey.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Consent and Privacy statement

We would like to make sure that every parent consents their children to participate in the survey before children (of 8 years old and above) complete the survey independently.

Therefore, only you (the parent) receive access to the survey links. If you consent your child(ren) to participate, then you can share the survey link with them.

Participation in the survey is voluntary and responses are completely anonymous. This also means that your responses and your children’s responses will not be shared with any third party.

We would like to reward children’s participation in the survey with a prize. Therefore, in the children’s survey we ask them to share their first and last name and provide us with an e-mail address (this can be their own or that of a parent). Sharing this information is completely voluntary.
